The GOM Scanbox joins the quality department’s fleet of high-precision machines.
The expansion of the SOME factory has involved a reorganisation of the production layout to free up space for the incorporation of new machines and processes.
The most recent of these is a new state-of-the-art scanner from the manufacturer GOM, part of the German Zeiss Group. The ATOS ScanBox 4105 allows for fast and efficient inspection of small and complex parts.
The ATOS ScanBox provides 3D measurement coordinates and can be compared with the CAD model. This allows us to detect deviations and identify defects 50% faster than with traditional methods.
The Scanbox is located in the automotive parts production area and is in continuous operation, providing non-stop inspection of the wide range of parts manufactured by SOME.
At SOME Automotive we focus 100% on the automotive sector. As a leading company in the manufacture of components for seat belts and airbags, we are a trusted supplier of the main TIER 1 and OEM multinationals in the sector.
