The industrial group SOME, experts in sheet metal transformation processes, renews its international environmental management certification.
In June, SOME Stamping Solutions underwent the three-yearly audit to review the environmental aspects related to each of the activities carried out in its industrial processes.
AENOR, Spain’s main certification body, approved the renewal of the international standard without reservations or observations, highlighting the fulfillment of our demanding environmental policy.
The character of the company has been formed by strong respect for our surrounding environment, and not only do we meet all the legislation in force, we have also established commitments with a much wider scope. Our environmental management system, based on the ISO 14001 standard and certified since 2003, has been strengthened and adapted over the years and acts as a strategic pillar that shapes the activities of our entire organisation.
Within the next few months, in accordance with our environmental policy, we will be installing a system of photovoltaic panels covering more than 3,000 m2 with a generation capacity of up to 650 kWp on the roof of the main building, which means that 21% of the energy used by SOME will be self-generated.
